Palm Beach County condo sales jump in March to $362M

Number of closings rose to 682 from 553 in February

Palm Beach County’s condo sales surged last month, with total dollar volume and closings finishing higher than in February.

March condo sales totaled $362 million, rising from $266 million in February. Brokers closed 682 sales last month, up from 553 sales in February and 440 in January, Multiple Listing Service data from Redfin show.

March sale prices ranged from $50,000 to $12 million, with a median sale price of $290,000. The price per square foot ranged from $35 to $3,216, with a median of $245 per square foot.

In February, sales closed with a median price of $280,000, and $246 per square foot.

An $11.9 million closing at Kirkland House in Palm Beach took the title of priciest sale last month. Unit 3A at 101 Worth Avenue sold for $3,216 per square foot after 350 days on the market. Dana Koch with Corcoran had the listing.

The sale price was more than February’s priciest sale. Unit 9 at 1901 South Ocean Boulevard in Delray Beach sold for $6 million. 

In contrast, March’s cheapest sale was a Southport At Hunters Run condo at 13 Southport Lane in Boynton Beach. Unit A traded for $50,000 — or $35 per square foot — after 91 days on the market. Richard Ralston and Elana Sessler with Keyes had the listing. Jonathan Goldman with Compass Florida represented the buyer.
