Chad Carroll and his team were named Compass’ top producers in Florida in 2023.

Carroll and the Carroll Group were the brokerage’s No. 1 agent and team, respectively, in closed sales volume in 2023, according to a press release. Carroll, a former “Million Dollar Listing Miami” star who jumped from Douglas Elliman to Compass in 2020, closed more than $285 million in sales last year, the release shows. His group closed nearly $503 million last year, the most of any Compass team in Florida. The Carroll Group placed fifth in The Real Deal’s 2023 Miami-Dade County broker ranking

Liz Hogan, ranked No. 2 among Compass Florida agents with $152 million in closed sales last year. Hogan has been one of the brokerage’s top agents since she moved over from EWM Realty International in 2017. Her team, the Liz Hogan Group, closed a total of $193 million in sales last year, according to the release. She placed ninth in TRD’s 2023 Miami broker ranking.

Elliot Koolik was the brokerage’s third top-producing individual agent last year, with nearly $147 million in sales. His team, the Koolik Group, closed $255 million in deals last year, and was 11th in TRD’s 2023 Palm Beach County broker ranking. The team also ranked as the fourth top-producing team for Compass in Florida last year, the release shows.

Among Compass teams, the brokerage’s second-ranked team was Carpenter Kessell, an Indian Harbour Beach-based group led by DeWayne Carpenter and Kirk Kessell. The team closed more than $330 million in sales last year.

The Ivan & Mike Team, based in Miami and led by Ivan Chorney and Michael Martirena, were the third-highest producing Compass group last year with $289 million in closings. They ranked 19th in TRD’s 2023 ranking.

The firm’s top producers were predominantly from South Florida, where a significant surge in demand and prices have fueled the market for the last few years. Compass recently strengthened its Palm Beach County presence with a new, larger office on Palm Beach’s Worth Avenue and an expansion to Delray Beach

Compass announced last week a $57.5 million deal to settle a class action lawsuit over broker commissions. The move follows the National Association of Realtors’ landmark agreement earlier this month to pay $418 million in damages tied to broker commissions litigation. Both are pending court approval.
