Luxury barber shop to open at River Landing Shops and Residences, dining concepts slated for Restaurant Row in Boca Raton and Miami Worldcenter

ManCave for Men I River Landing Shops and Residences I Miami

River Landing Shops and Residences, the mixed-use development along the Miami River, scored a hair salon as a tenant.

ManCave for Men, a luxury barber shop, will open in a 1,200-square-foot space along the riverfront next summer, according to a River Landing news release.

Coral Gables-based Urban-X Group, led by Andrew Hellinger and Coralee Penabad, in 2020 completed development of the 2.2 million-square-foot River Landing at 1400 Northwest North River Drive. The project consists of 360,000 square feet of retail space; 135,000 square feet of offices; 528 market-rate apartments; more than 2,000 parking spaces; and a riverwalk.

Toronto-based H&R REIT owns the property.

Other tenants that have leased space at River Landing include Pet Supermarket, Miami Optical Boutique and CKO Boxing Gym.

Brasserie Laurel I Miami Worldcenter | Miami

Michelin star-rated Chef Michael Beltran’s Brasserie Laurel restaurant will open at downtown Miami’s Miami Worldcenter megadevelopment.

Beltran and his Ariete Hospitality Group’s restaurant leased almost 3,000 square feet at the base of the Caoba apartment tower at 698 Northeast First Avenue and along the Seventh Street pedestrian promenade, according to a Miami Worldcenter news release. Brasserie Laurel will set up shop this month, making it the first tenant to open at Miami Worldcenter.

The restaurant will combine old world and modern by offering French brasserie-inspired cuisine with a Miami twist and classic wines, as well as contemporary cocktails. Chef Ashley Moncada will helm the kitchen.

Also in store for Miami Worldcenter are two other Ariete Hospitality concepts: Chug’s Express, a ‘ventanita’ diner serving croquetas, pastelitos and coffee; and El Vecino cigar and liquor bar, offering mussels, an assortment of meat and cheese, a grúyere burger, foie torchon, and a selection of snacks.

The master developers of the 27-acre, $4 billion Miami Worldcenter are Art Falcone and Nitin Motwani, in partnership with CIM Group.

Aside from Caoba, completed portions of the project include the Bezel Miami apartment tower and some of the 300,000 square feet of planned retail. Among projects on tap are the 351-key citizenM hotel, the 52-story Miami World Towers, and the 50-story Legacy Hotel & Residences with 310 condos, 219 hotel keys and over 200,000 square feet of medical offices.

Miami Worldcenter also recently scored Rihanna’s lingerie brand Savage X Fenty as a retail tenant, as well as Lululemon, Ray-Ban and Posman Books.

Sports & Social, a dining and entertainment venue, will open at the development’s glass-encased “Jewel Box” retail building and include a third-story rooftop.

EggBar I AKA Hotel I West Palm Beach

Electra America Hospitality Group and Korman Communities’ AKA Hotel in downtown West Palm Beach scored a restaurant tenant.

EggBar, a new concept by Roy Assad, will open next summer in an 1,800-square-foot space at the hotel at 695 South Olive Avenue, according to a news release from the landlord’s broker.

Jaime Sturgis and Kaley Tuning of Native Realty represented the hotel.

Electra America and Korman paid $83.9 million for the building, which was completed last year. It was initially planned as a 217-unit microunit multifamily property, but later recast as a 215-key hotel.

AKA Hotel, which is expected to open next month, also has secured another tenant for retail space. Downtown West Palm staple The Blind Monk wine bar and restaurant will move into a 3,000-square-foot space at the hotel. Its current location is 410 Evernia Street.

Shabibi I Restaurant Row I Boca Raton

Ian Weiner’s Pebb Enterprises leased the last available space at its Restaurant Row development in Boca Raton.

Chef Ralph Pagano’s new, Lebanese-cuisine-inspired Shabibi will open a 170-seat restaurant in a 5,200-square-foot space that will include a patio, a 50-seat bar and a 10-seat bar at a maza station where guests can order smaller items and view the preparation process, according to Pebb news release. Pagano, of Yes Hospitality, owns the Naked Taco chain.

Pebb, based in Boca Raton, is developing the 22,500-square-foot Restaurant Row on the corner of Butts Road and Town Center Road, next to Simon Property Group’s Town Center at Boca Raton mall.

Completion of Restaurant Row is expected next summer.

Other restaurants that have leased at the project include Fabio Trabocchi’s Fiolina Pasta House, Pubbelly Sushi and El Camino.
