The Related Group launched sales of its second planned condo development in Pompano Beach, Casamar, after selling out its first project amid heightened demand.
Miami-based Related said it has presold 30 percent of the units at Casamar, a luxury condo planned for the oceanfront site at 900 North Ocean Boulevard. That means about 35 units are in contract to buyers.
The developer, led by Jorge Pérez and his sons Jon Paul, president, and Nick, senior vice president, secured an upzoning last year for the 3.2-acre property that allows for a 21-story, 119-unit building. City commissioners in September unanimously approved raising the building height to 232 feet from 105 feet.
Prices start at $1.8 million, and units range from 1,000 square feet to 3,900 square feet, according to a press release. The condos will have terraces, and Sub-Zero and Wolf kitchen appliances.

Arquitectonica designed the project, and the Rockwell Group is handling interior design. Amenities will include sunrise and sunset pools, a fitness center with saunas, a virtual reality golf simulator room, pickleball court and water sports storage. The property has 283 feet of beach frontage.
Related launched sales of Solemar, at 1116 North Ocean Boulevard, in September 2020. Construction is underway, and it will mark the first new condo development to be built on the sand in Pompano Beach since Sabbia Beach was completed in 2018. Pompano Beach is in Broward County, north of Fort Lauderdale.
Solemar, a 105-unit, 20-story development, secured construction financing in September. It is now fully presold, according to Related.
Other developers also plan new projects in Pompano. Fortune International Group and Ricardo Dunin’s Oak Capital began sales of their two-building, Ritz-Carlton Residences development at 1380 South Ocean Boulevard, which has frontage on the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.
Related has been busy in other parts of South Florida, launching sales of projects that include Baccarat Residences, CasaBella by B&B Italia, the St. Regis Residences Miami, The Crosby Miami Worldcenter, and other developments.
