Canadian businessman Simon Librati sold a waterfront house on Allison Island for $8.2 million.
Mosi Real Estate LLC, led by Librati, sold the home at 6455 Allison Road in Miami Beach to Anna Mabel Miami LLC, records show.
Librati was the former co-chairman and CEO of New York-based World Trade Financial Group. In 2018, he agreed to a five-year suspension from working in the U.S. brokerage industry or owning a brokerage following an investigation of his firms’ trading, according to the Wall Street Journal.
In June, Librati bought DJ Khaled’s waterfront Aventura mansion for $4.8 million.
The buyer is managed by Richard Wagman, who is managing partner and co-founder of real estate investment and operating company Madison Capital. The firm was founded in 2002 and currently manages over $3.1 billion in assets, according to its website.
Librati purchased the five-bedroom, four-bathroom home in 2018 for $6 million. It was built on a 21,600-square-foot lot and includes a pool and 50-foot dock.
The 3,835-square-foot house hit the market last year asking $7.4 million. The price was raised to $9.2 million in January.
Diane Lieberman with One Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller, while Ryan Mendell of Maxwell E. Realty Inc. represented the buyer.
Recently on Allison Island, a Miami Beach lawyer sold a waterfront home for $5 million and Linda Lambert, the widow of Eastdil founder Benjamin Lambert, bought a spec home for $13 million.
