Techrin Hijazi joined Brown Harris Stevens Miami. The South Florida broker will be based out of Brown Harris Stevens’ Coconut Grove office. She was previously with William Raveis Real Estate, and was on TLC’s “Million Dollar Agents” show.
Abby Rubin and Gale Grobman, previously with Coldwell Banker, and Wendy Paskow, formerly of Douglas Elliman, joined Brown Harris Stevens’ Sunset Harbour office. Katrina Rosendary and Maritsa Rabie, Juan Carlos Caceres, Brittany Marrero and Michelle Garcia also joined Brown Harris Stevens.
Group P6 named the sales team for Royal Palm Residences in downtown Boca Raton. One Sotheby’s International Realty’s Ivan Ramirez, regional vice president of sales, sales director Linda Gustafson, Bambi Ross and Korin Castro, will work on sales of the nine-story, 48-unit project at 475 East Royal Palm Beach. Units start at $1.75 million.
Philip Freedman was named director of sales of the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach. Freedman, with Elliman, previously worked for Compass and Cervera Real Estate. The Ritz-Carlton Residences, developed by Lionheart Capital, has about 30 percent of the units left to sell. The 111-unit project, at 4701 Meridian Avenue, was completed in August.
Baker McKenzie brought on transactional lawyer John L. Murphy as a partner. Murphy, who was previously with DLA Piper, has more than 20 years of experience advising on international project development and financings, capital markets transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Rebecca Leon, a financial regulatory and enforcement practitioner, also joined the law firm’s Miami office.
Fortune International Group and Château Group, developers of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sunny Isles Beach, hired Craig Tooker as executive chef of the tower’s restaurant. The 52-story, 212-unit luxury condo building at 15701 Collins Avenue was completed last month.
Heather Cherrington, Stephanie Doppelt, Vincent Imburgia, Derek Latta, Kimberley Lieberbaum, Kenny Raymond, Julie Soimaud, and Kristin Whiting joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty as agents, working out of the firm’s Miami Beach office, at 491 West 41st Street.
Scott Strickland is now principal at Lee & Associates. Strickland was executive vice president at JLL. He focuses on office landlord agency and tenant representation.
Robbie Calteaux joined Pebb Enterprises as senior property manager. Calteaux was asset manager at The Geneva Group, a real estate investment firm in South Florida. At Pebb, led by president and CEO Ian Weiner, he’s responsible for the oversight and management of Pebb’s national commercial real estate portfolio.
Michael Betancourt joined Lee & Associates as senior vice president, focusing on retail landlord agency and tenant representation. He’s represented tenants that include Caja Caliente, GoBistro, 109 Burger Joint, Jon Smith Subs, Palomilla Grill, Killer Melts, Baked Bear, Green District, Fly Fuel and Sushi Kong. Betancourt was previously a retail and office leasing agent with Dwntwn Realty Advisors.
Juan Mazuera joined JLL as senior associate on the industrial team, specifically focusing on small-bay warehouse product. Mazuera will focus on the Doral and Medley submarkets. Before JLL, he was a leasing director for PS Business Parks’ MICC, a master-planned, 3.5 million-square-foot industrial business park in Doral.
Rasha Cameau was voted in as Interim Executive Director of North Miami Redevelopment Agency. She’s been director of the redevelopment agency for four years, and was previously the founding director of the Little Haiti Cultural Center.
Edmond Farrell was named vice president and general counsel of Stay Alfred, a hospitality startup. Farrell was managing counsel of Global Real Estate at Oracle.
