Trash tycoon Anthony Lomangino and his wife wasted no expense by purchasing a $12.6 million Palm Beach waterfront estate.
Lomangino, who ran a garbage collection businesses in New York and South Florida, and his wife bought the 8,723-square-foot mansion at 1620 South Ocean Boulevard for $1,450 per square foot, records show. Laurence C. Abramson and Eileen T. Abramson sold the estate.
The house has six bedrooms and eight-and-half bathrooms, according to Realtor.com. It was built in 2006.
The Abramsons bought the property in 2009, but property records do not show a price.
The estate was previously listed for $18.8 million in 2018 by Dana Koch with The Corcoran Group, according to Realtor.com.
Lomangino founded the South Florida waste hauling company Southern Waste Systems, which was acquired by Waste Management in 2015. Prior to that he ran a commercial waste company in New York.
In 2018, Lomangino reportedly gave $150,000 to help fund the legal fees of Trump associates who had been engulfed in the Russia investigation, according to Politico and the Wall Street Journal.
A number of mansions have sold in Palm Beach in the past month. The estate of the late Broadway producer, Terry Allen Kramer, who died in May, sold a 13-bedroom estate at 1295 South Ocean Boulevard for $110 million, the highest price ever sold for a Palm Beach home.
