The Keyes Company brought on the Fort Lauderdale-based Coloney Group, which was previously affiliated with RelatedISG International Realty.
The 30-agent Coloney Group, based at 606 East Broward Boulevard, joined Keyes and will eventually move into the brokerage’s office at 1520 East Sunrise Boulevard. The Coloney Group, led by George Coloney, averages $70 million in sales each year, according to a spokesperson. It specializes in Fort Lauderdale neighborhoods that include Victoria Park.
Keyes’ Fort Lauderdale office is led by district sales manager Beth Patterson.
The Coloney Group has for several years been affiliated with RelatedISG International Realty, a joint venture between the Related Group and International Sales Group, according to its website. ISG’s founders recently resolved an ugly legal battle, leaving Craig Studnicky with the company and giving Philip Spiegelman the development rights to an $82 million mixed-use project in New Orleans.
In a statement, Studnicky said the decision to part ways with the Coloney Group was mutual. “George and his team have been an important part of our RelatedISG Family for almost 5 years and we wish them only the best going forward,” he wrote.
ISG plans to open a new location in east Fort Lauderdale in the coming months, Studnicky said.
The Keyes Company is the largest independently owned real estate firm in Florida, and it closed $6.7 billion in sales volume last year, according to a release. The company, led by CEO Mike Pappas, has been expanding via acquisitions and hires of top producers from other firms. In 2018, it acquired Rickenback Realty in Key Biscayne, the Palm Beach County Realty Group of Boynton Beach and the Realty Pros, also in Boynton Beach.
