The first pieces of SoleMia, a $4 billion, master-planned community in North Miami, are now being delivered as the developers plan for the next phase.
LeFrak and the Soffer family, led by Jeffrey and Jackie Soffer, began building the ambitious, 184-acre development at 15055 Biscayne Boulevard in 2015. On Monday, they’ll begin leasing twin 17-story apartment towers called The Shoreline, which will have a total of 397 rental units. Monthly rents range from $1,700 to $3,700, and tenants will start moving in next month, according to the Miami Herald.
SoleMia, built on top of a former landfill and in a designated Opportunity Zone, also features a Crystal Lagoon, a seven-acre, man-made lagoon with its own beaches and island. Costco, which moved from its previous location nearby at 14585 Biscayne Boulevard, will also open soon.
LeFrak told the Miami Herald that the developers are working on plans for the next phase, which calls for a 33-story, 300-unit condo tower and a seven-story apartment building.
