A limited liability company controlled by President Trump’s sons Eric and Donald Jr. owes a prorated amount of property tax on an oceanfront house at 1125 South Ocean Boulevard, near Mar-a-Lago.

The company controlled by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. bought the oceanfront house on May 16 for $18.25 million from their aunt Maryanne Trump Barry, a retired federal appeals judge. The company owes $130,180 of the total 2018 property tax of $206,587 on the house, which was assessed at about $11.7 million.

The only Trump-linked real estate in Palm Beach County with property tax lower this year than last year is Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter. The property tax this year on the 131-acre golf club is $379,151, down from $398,315 last year.

Trump frequently has disputed the county property appraiser’s assessment of Trump National Golf Club. The company that owns the golf club already has asked the state government’s Value Adjustment Board to review the county’s 2018 valuation of the golf club at $19.1 million.

A lawsuit filed by the company that owns Trump National Golf Club to dispute prior assessments of the property remains unresolved. [Palm Beach Post]Mike Seemuth
