1900 Midtown reaches more than 90% occupancy

Butters Realty & Management just secured 23,410 square feet worth of leases, bringing the 120,000-square-foot office complex to roughly 90 percent occupancy.

The firm acquired 1900 Midtown at 1900 Northwest Corporate Boulevard for $21 million last year, and has since invested about $3 million into renovating the building.

Tenants that signed leases include US Legal, Callagy Law, Cross Country Mortgage and Century Advisors. Milber Makris, Plousadis & Seiden LLP expanded its lease to 4,465 square feet.

The lease deals were secured by Realty & Management’s Darcie Lunsford, Molly McDonough and Sky Butters. Rents at 1900 Midtown are asking $23 per square foot, Lunsford said.

Freight forwarding company inks lease at planned Medley project

Logistics company Kerry Freight (USA) just inked a 34,590-square-foot lease at Miami International Tradeport, a 1.7 million industrial park in Medley under development by Liberty Property Limited Partnership.

The project is scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter of 2019. Once complete, the industrial park will include 10 warehouse facilities. Kerry Logistics will move into a building at 11440 Northwest 122nd Street in December, according to a press release.

CBRE represented the tenant. The team consisted of Miami-based David Albert, Devin White and Andrew Fernandez; as well as New Jersey-based Scott Belfer and Kevin Dudley.

Sprouts signs 20,535 sf lease at Miramar Square

Sprouts Farmers Market is planting roots in Miramar.

The grocery store and distribution chain inked a 20,535-square-foot lease at 12100 Miramar Parkway, within Kite Realty’s 235,800-square-foot shopping center, Miramar Square.

The center is anchored by Kohl’s, Miami Children’s Hospital and The Goddard School. Ryan Joyce represented the landlord. The tenant was represented by Lindsey Pankey of Centre-Line Real Estate Services.

The grocery store and distribution chain specializes in natural and organic products. The company operates more than 300 stores throughout the United States with at least five in Florida. It also plans to open a location in Jupiter.

Wawa secures three lease deals throughout Miami-Dade

Wawa is expanding to three different locations throughout Miami-Dade County.

The Pennsylvania chain of convenience stores inked lease deals totaling about six acres in Kendall, South Dade and near Westchester. 

The stores are opening at 120th Street and 137th Avenue, near the Kendall Tamiami Executive Airport; Quail Roost and 112 Avenue; and 6971 Southwest 24 Street, along Coral Way and just east of Southwest 72nd Avenue. Paco Diaz of CBRE helped secure the lease deals with Wawa.

The convenience store and gas station chain also has locations in Miami Gardens, Deerfield Beach, Riviera Beach, Davie and Pompano Beach.

999 Ponce in Coral Gables scores 31,000 sf of leases

999 Ponce in Coral Gables just secured 31,000 square feet of new leases.

The office building at 999 Ponce De Leon Boulevard spans about 305,200 square feet. Records show a company tied to Weda Developers owns the property. It paid $20.9 million for it in 2005.

Lease deals at 999 Ponce include new tenants Shikun & Binui, which inked 5,169 square feet; Jag Insurance Group for 6,609 square feet; Bell Rosquete for 1,834 square feet; Fente & Rossano for 2,450 square feet, law firm Moises, Teplitsky & Gross, P.A., and the Law Offices of Karim Baptista, P.A., each for 2,794 square feet.

Bice Cole renewed a 4,206 square foot office and International Vessels expanded its office to 1,135 square feet.

Jorge L. Morales of Blue Box Real Estate helped secure the leases.
