West Palm Beach-based Kolter Group plans a 312-unit residential development in the mid-section of Fort Lauderdale’s beachfront area.

Kolter is preparing to develop two residential buildings that would be 200 feet tall and would include 15,000 square feet of space for retail stores and restaurants.

Fort Lauderdale’s Development Review Committee examined the proposed development on April 24.

The 2.6-acre development site includes eight parcels between Alhambra Street and Sebastian Street that Kolter bought from the city last year for $25 million.

Kolter bought the eight parcels spanning 2.2 acres through an affiliated company called KT Seabreeze Atlantic. The property includes two parking lots and a small wooded area.

The development site also includes a small building at 3026 Alhambra Street that Kolter acquired for $2 million.
