Sergio’s Cuban Kitchen + Bar | Brickell
Sergio’s Restaurants is bringing its fast-casual concept to Brickell. Sergio’s Cuban Kitchen + Bar signed a 10-year, nearly 2,600-square-foot lease at 40 Southwest 12th Street, RKF managing director John Ellis said.
Ellis and Aaron Labovitz represented the landlord, real estate developer Bernard Wolfson. Wolfson owns the building, the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Miami Brickell Downtown above. Sharon Silver of the Wenzel Investment Group represented Sergio’s.
The restaurant is taking over City Slickers’ former space, which closed in November. Other tenants include Batch Gastropub and 3Chefs.
Sergio’s is set to open in July. The asking rent was $60 per square foot, triple net, Ellis said.
M House | Coral Gables
The Metropolis Group, a partnership between Francisco Arocha of HES Group, Pedro F. Villar of Sunview Companies and Carlos Mendez, are opening M House in Coral Gables in early May.
The 4,000-square-foot restaurant will be on the ground floor of Aloft Coral Gables, a seven-story, 137-room hotel with 34 extended-stay suites that’s expected to open later this year.
Chef Abraham Silva is the executive chef of M House. The restaurant will include a dining room, bar and lounge area, and an outdoor terrace.
Vista by Fratelli Milano and Cafe Creme | Upper Buena Vista
Two restaurants are joining Upper Buena Vista, a new retail and restaurant development on Northeast Second Avenue, north of the Miami Design District.
Vista by Fratelli Milano will open next month in a three-story, 4,000-square-foot space at 5020 Northeast Second Avenue.
Claude Postel and Corentin Finot, of the former Buena Vista Deli, will open Café Crème in a roughly 500-square-foot space at Upper Buena Vista.
Annual retail rents at the project range from about $65 per foot to $81 per square foot, triple net, co-developer Michal Aviv said. Other tenants include Wynwood Shades, Amazonica and Kraken Lab. Aviv built the development with her business partner David Lahmy.
