UPDATED August 30th, 2:50 a.m.: Health and wellness executive William “Bill” Weiland just paid $6.58 million for a full-floor condo at the Beach House 8 building in Miami Beach, property records show.
Weiland is the founder and CEO of Presence Marketing, the largest independently-owned natural and organic food brokerage in the United States. Records show SAGA S.A., a New York-based company, sold the unit. The owner, said to be a European businessman, paid $7.5 million for the condo in July 2016 – meaning it traded at a slight loss.
The sixth-floor residence hit the market in February for $7.9 million. It sold at a 16 percent discount from it’s original asking price. Douglas Elliman’s Chad Carroll had the listing, according to Redfin. Alex Miranda and Joe Padula of One Sotheby’s International Realty brought the buyer. The duo go by The Alex and Joe Team.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom unit features floor-to-ceiling windows, a custom home automation system, a gourmet kitchen and a 1,172-square-foot terrace. The condo itself spans about 3,783 square feet. The trade breaks down to $1,739 per square foot.
Ugo Colombo and Valerio Morabito delivered the 10-story building at 3651 Collins Avenue last year after breaking ground in 2014.
Other buyers in the eight-unit building at 3651 Collins Avenue include Brazilian entrepreneur Mario Garnero, who paid $14 million for a penthouse, and a Cayman Islands-based LLC, which paid $13 million for the fourth and fifth floors. One Sotheby’s International Realty handled preconstruction sales, with prices starting at $5.9 million.
