Retired professional basketball star Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway listed his house in Pinecrest for sale with a $3.799 million asking price.

The  Mediterranean style residence at 5940 Southwest 108 Street in Pinecrest spans 8,639 square feet and has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a half bathroom.

The property features a basketball court, home theater, gym, swimming pool and six-car garage.

If his house sells for the asking price, Hardaway would get $134,000 more than the $3.665 million he paid in 2009 to buy the property.

The listing agents are Evan and Hazel Goldman of Goldman Residential Group, which is part of RE/MAX Advance Realty.

Hardaway, 45, played finished his career in the National Basketball Association during the 2007-2008 season as a guard for the Miami Heat.

Hardaway was the third overall pick in the NBA Draft in 1993 and went on to play for the Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns and New York Knickerbockers before joining the Miami Heat.

Hardaway also was a member of U.S. men’s basketball team that won a gold medals in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.

He is selling his Pinecrest home because he now spends most of his time in Memphis, Tennessee, his hometown. [Sun Sentinel] Mike Seemuth
