The estimate also include costs for metal barriers, fencing and other equipment at Mar-a-Lago and to keep crowds from entering the Eau Palm Beach resort in Manalapan, where Xi and his entourage stayed, the Palm Beach Post reported.

The $1.5 million tab is the highest yet for one visit. Since Trump was elected president, his visits to Mar-a-Lago, including the China summit, have cost law enforcement agencies about $3.5 million for security, according to the Sheriff’s Office estimate cited by the Palm Beach Post.

Trump has already visited Mar-a-Lago  dubbed the “Winter White House”  six times since his January inauguration. He is planning to return again on Thursday for Easter weekend and stay until Sunday. [Palm Beach Post] Ina Cordle
