A Miami-based importer is listing his waterfront Coconut Grove estate for $28 million.
Ernst Swietelsky, who owned a flower and plant import company, put the home at 3080 Munroe Drive on the market with Coldwell Banker’s Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber. The property is in the Grove’s Camp Biscayne community, neighboring a newly built estate that’s on the market for $43 million.
Swietelsky’s home, built in 2002, was designed by Rafael Portuondo of Portuondo Perotti Architects, the Jills said. The 7,045-square-foot Mediterranean-style house has five bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, home office, a bayfront master suite, a pool and gazebo. It’s the 18th-most expensive single-family home for sale in Miami-Dade County, according to Realtor.com.
Property records show Swietelsky paid $878,000 for the 24,500-square-foot corner lot, which fronts Biscayne Bay.
The estate, called Casa Positano, is asking nearly $4,000 per square foot. Next door, Casa Bahia’s $43 million price tag breaks down to about $3,189 per square foot. Pablo Alfaro of Douglas Elliman has that listing, which is the third-most expensive home for sale in the county. It was originally listed in September for $50 million. – Katherine Kallergis
