LointerHome is launching sales for its Glass House development, a collection of six homes in Coconut Grove.

The developer hired Douglas Elliman’s Roque Castro to handle sales of the houses, which will start at $700,000 and range from 1,900 square feet to 2,500 square feet, according to a press release.

The homes are designed by local architect William Hamilton Arthur IV, and will feature interior courtyards and windows. LointerHome expects construction to begin this summer, and is scheduled to be completed in late December.

As part of the launch, the developer is planning a public art-exhibit on the Coconut Grove lots. Together with a creative studio called Louis1978, the developer will install 10-foot sculptures consisting of planks painted by local artists during the weekend-long Coconut Grove Arts Festival on two of the lots totaling 5,000 square feet. The three-day event attracts roughly 120,000 visitors each year, and the remaining four lots will have similar installations in subsequent weeks.

Nearby in the Grove, developers Gus De Ribeaux, Carlos Tosca and Carlos Sosa, want to redevelop a roughly 50,000-square-foot property into five single-family homes, but they need the city commission to approve a now-controversial re-plat of the property in order to move forward.
