Eduardo Costantini debuts Oceana Bal Harbour development, art: PHOTOS

Argentinian art collector and developer Eduardo Costantini debuted Oceana Bal Harbour and the project’s multimillion-dollar art collection at an art-filled bash on Friday night.

Works by Jeff Koons, Callum Innes, An Te Liu, Jorge Mendez Blake, Taryn Simon, Juan Usle and Garth Weiser were on display at the luxury condo development, which began recording closings last month. Costantini, who founded MALBA in Buenos Aires, purchased Koons’ “Ballerina” and “Pluto and Proserpina” sculptures for $14 million.

Oceana, a 28-story, 240-unit development at 10201 Collins Avenue, was designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by Piero Lissoni and pool landscaping by Enzo Enea. Lissoni, Enea, Bernardo Fort-Brescia and Koons were among the attendees of the party, held during Miami Art Week.

In all, Oceana Bal Harbour has four upper penthouses, two of which were under contract for $26 million each earlier this year. Records so far show buyers hail from London, Russia and the Bahamas. The project has an estimated $1.3 billion sellout, which would set a record in South Florida.

The building sits on more than five acres of beachfront land in Bal Harbour, and includes a poolside restaurant, a spa, valet parking, private cabanas, a relaxation pool and Olympic-style lap pool, a theater and underground parking. – Katherine Kallergis
