The owner of a major Brazilian drink manufacturer and a Connecticut-based class action attorney are among the new owners of units at the Fendi Château Residences in Surfside.

Records show Andrea and Neville Proa paid $7 million for unit 1004 at Château Group’s newly completed condo building. Neville Proa owns Viton 44, a drink manufacturer and seller based in Rio de Janeiro. Proa also invested tens of millions of dollars in three Brazilian soccer teams last year, but backed out this year due to Brazil’s economic turmoil, according to Brazilian sports news website Netvasco.

He told the publication in February that he and his family were moving to Miami. At Fendi Château, they’re joining other Brazilian buyers who include software firm executives Laércio José De Lucena Cosentino and Marcelo Eduardo Sant’anna Cosentino, and Paulo Cezar Pacheco, president of the Brazilian Golf Confederation and founder of a medical products company.

The Proas’ new unit has three bedrooms and 3,482 square feet, according to marketing materials, which means they paid about $2,010 per square foot. BAC Florida Bank provided the buying entity, N A Proa LLC, with a $3 million mortgage.

Records filed on Friday also show that Juda Epstein, an attorney based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, paid $6 million for unit 202. Epstein, a class action attorney active in New York, paid about $1,660 per square foot for his four-bedroom, 3,616-square-foot condo. Michael and Mary Cases of Cases Realty Group brokered the deal.

Epstein works on major collection cases, and has recovered tens on millions of dollars on his clients’ behalf, according to his law office’s website.

Both deals include staff quarters, marketing materials show.

The Château Group completed Fendi Château in September. The beachfront development was designed by Arquitectonica and includes pools, a Jacuzzi, 12 private cabanas, a restaurant and bar, a fitness center and a spa, kids’ club, private theater, a private dining room, wine cellar and Shabbat elevators.
