As his administration rushes to ready itself for inauguration day come January, Donald Trump apparently has bigger fish to fry besides a legal dispute in Palm Beach.

The president elect reportedly plans to drop a lawsuit he filed against Palm Beach County, alleging air traffic from Palm Beach International Airport had damaged his Mar-a-Lago club with pollutants and noise.

The Palm Beach Post, citing an email circulated among county commissioners, reported that Trump’s attorneys were planning to drop the latest lawsuit in a long-standing feud between the real estate billionaire and the airport.

One possible reason for the dismissal: Trump may have already won, at least partially, the newspaper reported. Airports Director Bruce Pelly said he’s in discussions with the Secret Service to keep the skies clear over Mar-a-Lago when Trump is in town.

Additionally, as one commissioner put it, the president-elect likely has more pressing matters to attend to than protecting his ritzy club from noisy jets.

“I think the new president has a lot on his plate other than being in litigation with the county,” commissioner Steven Abrams told the newspaper. [Palm Beach Post]Sean Stewart-Muniz
