Film director, screenwriter, producer and now designer Alejandro Landes is asking $50 million for his newly built Coconut Grove estate, Casa Bahia.

Landes, known for movies like Porfirio and Cocalero, owns and designed the 20,000-square-foot mansion at 3085 Munroe Drive. The three-story, waterfront home was completed in December and features interiors by his mother Catalina Echavarría, designs by Zyscovich Architects and Jerry Gavcovich, landscaping by Raymond Jungles and custom lighting.

The 41,125-square-foot lot includes an 80-foot boat slip and 518 feet on the water, according to marketing materials. The property also has “floating” staircases, cantilevered balconies, a reclaimed wood trellis with a rotating front door, floor-to-ceiling glass, wraparound balconies, an infinity-edge pool, reflecting ponds, master suite with a spa and more.

With seven bedrooms, a guest house and a private loft, Landes included smart home technology, a 700-bottle custom wine cellar and an elevator for up to 12 people in the mansion.

Fortac LLC, a company controlled by Nikolas Zaidan Abusada, Landes and Echavarría, owns the property. The LLC paid $3.29 million for the lot in 2004, property records show. Zaidan Abusada is mentioned in the Offshore Leaks database as connected to Smithsonite Corp., a British Virgin Islands corporation included in the Panama Papers leak.

Douglas Elliman’s Pablo Alfaro has the listing for the Coconut Grove property.

Earlier this year, Ransom Everglades paid $34.6 million for a nearly 7-acre property also on the water in the Grove, although the estate is historic and will be used to expand the school.
