Sage Beach, a new beachfront condominium in Hollywood, opened for occupancy and the first residents moved in.
Property Markets Group (PMG) developed the 24-unit condominium at 2101 South Surf Road, which has 300 feet of beachfront access.
PMG says it has sold 85 percent of the units. Prices start at $1.3 million and range up to $2.2 million.
Southeastern Broward County has emerged as a hot market for condo development. According to Cranespotters.com, almost 5,000 condo units have been built or proposed in Hollywood and Hallandale during the last five years, compared to nearly 2,800 in Fort Lauderdale, the second-most active condo development market in Broward County.
PMG also made headlines recently by announcing a proposed redevelopment of the Las Olas Riverfront complex in downtown Fort Lauderdale that would put 1,200 apartments on the mostly vacant property along the New River. [Sun-Sentinel] – Mike Seemuth
