Check out construction of Zaha Hadid’s One Thousand Museum: PHOTOS

Zaha Hadid’s legacy lives on at One Thousand Museum.

New York-based Field Condition took photos of the downtown Miami construction site on Tuesday, which will be the first residential skyscraper design in the Western Hemisphere for Hadid, who died in March. The photos are the first to be taken from inside the building, and they include shots of the ground-floor restaurant, lobby and amenity floor.

Construction crews are pouring the 14th floor this week, a spokesperson told The Real Deal.

In April, more than 200 construction workers, developers and fans of Hadid gathered to honor the starchitect, who was the first female architect to win the Pritzker Prize.

Construction began on the 83-unit, 62-story last year. The building, developed by Louis Birdman, Gregg Covin and the Regalia Group, is expected to open in late 2018. One Thousand Museum is more than 50 percent sold, the spokesperson said.
