A Venezuelan buyer has purchased the 113-acre Killian Greens Golf Club, marking one of the largest land sales in the county so far this year.

The 18-hole golf course, at 9980 Southwest 104th Street, was on the market for a combined $5.7 million.

“The golf course was sold to a wealthy Venezuelan buyer who likes to land bank and own land for the future of his family,” Allan Kleer of Fortune International Realty, told The Real Deal. Kleer and his business partner Fabian Garcia-Diaz were the listing agents. They declined to provide the buyer’s name, and the sale has not yet been recorded in Miami-Dade County.

Greens to You Inc., led by Mark Thomas and Russ Breiner, is the seller. Property records show the golf course and club last sold for $900,000 in 1996.

The public golf club includes a practice putting green, pro shop, cafe, 300 parking spaces and field areas for outdoor events. It also offers foot golf, according to the facility’s website.

In April, developers Stuart Miller, Armando Codina and Jim Carr paid $96 million for the former White Course in Doral, a 130-acre property they plan to redevelop. Lennar also purchased 143 acres in Miami Lakes in January for $74 million.

And just last month, The Real Deal reported that the Opa Locka Hialeah Flea Market is under contract to sell to Michael Fay, developer Jackson Ward, Rodney Barreto, Chris Kallivokas and Brian May. The deal for the 72-acre assemblage, off of LeJeune Road and the Gratigny Expressway, is expected to close during the fourth quarter of this year, Ward told TRD in May.
