Avison principals Keith O’Donnell, Michael Fay and Donna Abood will handle the office leasing assignment for the Sunrise project, located at 1800 Northwest 136th Avenue.

“As the first new office construction in the Sawgrass submarket since 2008, Metropica’s office space will attract businesses from all three counties seeking to be more centrally located,” O’Donnell said in a press release.

Altogether, KGH International Development, led by Joseph Kavana, is building the $1.5 billion development to include eight condo towers with 1,900 residential units, a health and wellness center, a beach club, public spaces, and elevated recreational amenities such as tennis courts and mini soccer fields. Chad Oppenheim is the lead designer.

Metropica will also be anchored by 400,000 square feet of retail with tenants like iPic Theaters, Kings Bowl, Anthropologie, Miami-based Salsa Fiesta and Free People. Construction is underway for the project’s first condo tower, Yoo at Metropica. The 28-story, 273-unit building broke ground in October, and received conditional Fannie Mae approval in January.
