A Mediterranean revival mansion designed by Robert A.M. Stern hit the market for $40 million, marking the most expensive residential listing in Fort Lauderdale and the second highest in Broward County.
The 1.3-acre estate in the Las Olas neighborhood features a roughly 16,000-square-foot mansion, a two-story guest house, 625 feet of waterfront, and a six-car garage. By the numbers, it offers six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, five half-bathrooms, five fireplaces, an office library, personal massage room, home theater, fitness center, and private elevator access to the home’s three stories. The home also includes a yacht captain’s chart room, a master suite with walk-in closets and a spa bathroom with a hand-carved marble tub.
The listing price breaks down to $2,510 per square foot.
ONE Sotheby’s International Realty’s Dennis Stevick and Dale Atkins of the DND Associates team are listing the property at 615 Lido Drive, according to a press release. Broward County records show FIH LLC owns the mega-mansion, which is newly built. The company lists Wayne D. Jones of Ann Arbor, Michigan as a manager. It last sold for $7.4 million in 2005.
Perlmutter-Freiwald designed the interiors. The list of amenities includes a summer kitchen, infinity pool, home automation systems, temperature-controlled and custom-built wine cabinets with space for more than 500 bottles, recessed motorized sunshades, a full house generator, customized security systems and a gourmet chef’s kitchen.
The Las Olas estate is second in price to the Le Palais Royal estate in Hillsboro Beach, which was relisted in November for an eye-popping $159 million. – Katherine Kallergis
