American Express leads the list of Broward County’s 15 top office tenants with nearly 1.2 million square feet, ranking it as the largest occupant in the entire tri-county area, according to The Real Deal‘s analysis of CoStar Group’s data.
The federal government comes in second, with more than 1 million square feet, followed by Broward County, with more than 400,000 square feet.
The next group includes a bevy of corporations: Citrix Systems, Motorola Mobility, AT&T and Magic Leap, which each occupy more than a quarter of a million square feet. Major financial institutions Bank of America, Wells Fargo are among the next tier, along with First Data, Kaplan, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Mednax Services, SEACOR Holdings and Broward Health.
In all, Broward’s top 15 office tenants occupy more than $5.2 million square feet. Reflecting Broward’s economy, the group is composed of five technology or telecommunications companies, three financial giants, two governments, two healthcare companies, one cruise line, one university and one shipping company.
