What does $34 million in Miami Beach get you nowadays? A never-lived-in spec house with its own second-floor waterslide, apparently.
The newly built home at 4555 Pine Tree Drive was just put up for sale by its developer Barry Brodsky and his firm Brodson Construction.
It’s a contemporary mega-manse with 13,500 square feet of space, its own half-basketball court and about 100 feet of water frontage on Indian Creek. Brodsky’s asking price breaks down to $2,518 per square foot — and that’s without the furnishings.
The developer had Paulo Bacchi and his design firm Artefacto stage the home with modern set pieces. Add $1.3 million onto the price tag if you want those, too.
Arguably the mansion’s most standout feature is a massive concrete waterslide that leads from the home’s roof to the waterfront pool. According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Brodsky was aware that the slide could cause potential buyers to turn their noses up. His response: “who doesn’t like to go on a water slide?”
