A company tied to luxury homebuilder Mark Timothy just purchased a beachfront mansion in Boynton Beach.

The home, at 6125 North Ocean Boulevard, measures 8,956 square feet and sits on a lot that’s a slightly more than an acre. It was built in 1989, and is part of the small beach town of Ocean Ridge.

The home was owned by Sherry Monroe Broadhead, who first purchased the property in 1996 for $1.9 million. She is the widow of Paul Broadhead, an entrepreneur and real estate developer.

Ownership of the property was transferred to a trust in Sherry’s name 14 years ago, and now that trust has sold the manse for $5.5 million. The property was originally listed for $6.95 million earlier this year by the Corcoran Group.

Mark Timothy, a custom homebuilding company based out of Boca Raton, specializes in building multimillion-dollar estates typically seen along Southern Florida’s beaches or in country clubs.

Attempts to contact the company on Wednesday were unsuccessful. It is likely that 6125 North Ocean will be redeveloped.
