Architecture and design firm ADD Inc., now with Stantec, is the architect for the Shore Club’s renovation, which will include a five-star hotel brand and luxury condos, the firm announced recently.
HFZ Capital Group paid $175.3 million for the three-acre Shore Club property at 1901 Collins Avenue in December 2013. Plans for the condo-hotel include the redesign of the existing 22-story tower, two eight-story and three-story buildings. When completed, the property will total 300,000 square feet. The 309 hotel rooms will be converted into 100 rooms and 75 condo units. A new 5-story building for hotel amenities and two 2-story cabana buildings will also be added, according to a news release.
