A Four Seasons hotel and condo project was announced for Fort Lauderdale.
Fort Partners announced plans Tuesday to build the new Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences.
Construction of the condo-hotel is set to begin in 2016. The building will fill 1.8 acres and an entire block of oceanfront property, spanning from 521 to 529 North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard.
The high-rise, designed by Kobi Karp, will be 23-stories tall and will sit on a 3-story podium.
Hotel guests and residents will have separate pools and lobbies, and residents will have a private driveway. Amenities include a spa, destination restaurant, bar and lounge, pool-deck restaurant, ballroom, business center, children’s recreation area, meeting facilities and a cafe in a garden.
Sales for the condo units will launch this month, according to a press release. Units range in size from 800 square feet to 6,000 square feet and have one- to- three bathrooms.
This is the third collaboration between the Miami-based developer and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. They worked together on the Four Seasons Palm Beach and The Surf Club Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences in Surfside, which is currently under construction.
Fort Partners will also bring in the previous landowner Merrimac Ventures for the project.
“I believe that 2015 is the right time and Fort Lauderdale is the right place for Fort Partners to develop the new Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences on Fort Lauderdale Beach. This Four Seasons will enhance and elevate Fort Lauderdale to a world-class destination,” Fort Partners CEO Nadim Ashi said in a statement. — Sean Stewart-Muniz
