Related’s long-delayed convention center hotel project in West Palm Beach is moving forward at a quick pace — a floor of concrete a week — tourism officials announced this week.
The Hilton Hotel on Okeechobee Boulevard in downtown West Palm Beach will be complete by July 2016, according to a published report.
The building’s shell is expected to be fully enclosed by March or April, the Palm Beach Post reported. The completed 403-room hotel is expected to open in July 2016.
Construction crews began excavating the hotel site last May. Vertical construction began in August. County officials told the Post that crews should reach the top of the 12-story project in February. [Palm Beach Post] — Kristina Puga
