Developer Ugo Colombo unveiled the details of his 60-story Brickell Flatiron residential tower.
Colombo plans to construct more than 500 units on 1.1 acres at the corner of Brickell Plaza and South Miami Avenue, the developer announced on Monday. Prominent architect Luis Revuelta designed the building. Colombo intends to have a mix of large one-, two- and three-bedroom residences and several duplex penthouses.
A retail and restaurant component is also part of the plans for Brickell Flatiron. Colombo expects to begin construction by year’s end.
The developer is in negotiations with Russian builder Vladislav Doronin of Capital Group to form a joint venture for Brickell Flatiron and a second building, the Miami Herald reported. Colombo is launching Flatiron unit sales on Tuesday. [Miami Herald] — Eric Kalis
