A sweetheart luxury deal that listed as one of the most expensive in South Florida this week just got a little sweeter.
The owner of the $18 million unfinished manse on the Cocoplum Canal in Coral Gables has been revealed as none other than Hilda Bacardi, of the Bacardi rum bloodline.
The gargantuan corner plot the 11-bedroom estate sits on at 300 Costanera Road is 57,270 square feet and lines more than 400 feet of the canal, according to Curbed. Currently under construction until summer of 2015, the Bacardi home features arched stone doorways, in-laws quarters, a library and a fireplace. Water-lovers will enjoy the 100-foot dock and the swimming pool with stone gazebos.
Lastly, the home has a wine cellar — because after all, what would a Bacardi house be without one? Luisa Mendoza of Esslinger Wooten Maxwell has the listing. [Curbed] — Angela Hunt
