Fort Capital is bringing in Four Seasons to brand and manage its hotel at the Surf Club in Surfside.

The Miami-based private real estate investment firm finalized an agreement with Four Seasons on Tuesday, according to a written announcement from the companies. The 80-room Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club incorporates a historic building designed by Russell Pancoast on the nine-acre oceanfront property. Starchitect Richard Meier is designing the entire Surf Club project in collaboration with Kobi Karp.

Plans include two residential towers, a private club, two restaurants, four swimming pools and more than 40 beach cabanas. The project is expected to be completed in early 2016.

The 9011 Collins Avenue club was founded in 1930 by Harvey Firestone.

“When we acquired the Surf Club in 2012, our goal was to augment the property’s natural beauty and storied past with the intelligent, purposeful design of Richard Meier to create an elegant, amenity-rich residential and hospitality experience,” Fort Capital CEO Nadim Ashi said. — Eric Kalis
