The fate of the Office Depot headquarters largely rests in the hands of its new CEO. Roland Smith is visiting the 600,000-square-foot Boca Raton corporate offices at 6600 North Military Trail today for a town hall meeting. Formerly the CEO of fast-food chain Wendy’s and Belgian grocer Delhaize Group’s U.S. arm, Smith was hired yesterday.
Last week, Office Depot merged with its Naperville, Ill.-based former rival OfficeMax, leaving its new headquarters unknown.
