An exorcism may have freed Olivia Newton-John’s Palm Beach manse of ghosts, but it couldn’t shake intended buyer Rosie O’Donnell’s misgivings about going through with a sale after a contractor’s suicide.

“Rosie has decided not to buy the house,” Cindi Berger, O’Donnell’s publicist, reportedly told Gossip Extra. “It just didn’t feel right.”

O’Donnell, who recently sold a Star Island property, signed a contract to purchase the “Grease” star’s Jupiter Inlet Colony mansion in early August for about $5.5 million, as The Real Deal previously reported.

While workers brought in to spruce the place up ahead of the new tenancy occupied the house Aug. 19, ontractor Christopher Pariseleti killed himself with a bullet to the head.

A source reportedly told Gossip Extra that Newton-John hosted a spiritual ceremony akin to an exorcism in an attempt to appease O’Donnell, but to no avail.

The house, at 104 Lighthouse Drive, is back on the market for $6.2 million. [Gossip Extra]Emily Schmall
