As developers snap up properties along the North Flagler Drive corridor in West Palm Beach, some brokers and developers want to coordinate an overarching plan for the area that would include residential development, the Palm Beach Post reported.
Edgar Jones, of Miami-based Edgar Jones & Co. is trying to coordinate city approvals for new condominiums and settle on uniform zoning with other developers working in the corridor, the Post said, though he acknowledges it may be a struggle. He recently purchased the stalled 18-unit condominium project known as the Palladio Terrace, at 2200 North Flagler Drive, for an undisclosed sum.
“We like the concept of assembling (the parcels) in a comprehensive fashion,” Rick Greene, the city’s director of development services, told the Post. “There are advantages in planning them holistically rather than their being developed on their own.” [Palm Beach Post] –Guelda Voien
