Developer Renzi files for bankruptcy

Miami developer Renzo Renzi filed for Chapter 7 personal bankruptcy yesterday, declaring debt of between $10 million and $50 million. Renzi himself filed the bankruptcy without an attorney. His last involvement with the court ended up with a contempt citation after he missed a court hearing about the foreclosure of one of his office buildings in Coral Gables, the Renzi Building. That building lost an $8.4 million foreclosure judgment. [SFBJ]
