Golf star Greg Norman’s Jupiter Island estate, Tranquility, is back on the market for a whopping $65 million, making it the second-most expensive house for sale in the United States, according to the Palm Beach Post. (The first: a Las Vegas mansion listed for $100 million). Norman’s eight-acre property includes a nine-bedroom, 11-bathroom main house, a coach house, carriage house and guest house, plus a 50-foot pool, a gym, enough garage space for 17 cars, and a dock large enough for a yacht. Martin County property taxes on the place, which Norman purchased for $4.9 million in 1991, are $130,000 per year. The county’s property appraiser most recently estimated its value at $21.5 million. Norman initially listed Tranquility for the same price in 2007 as part of a $103 million divorce settlement with his first wife, Laura Andrassy, who will get half the proceeds from the sale. He then briefly knocked the asking price down to $47.5 million before pulling it from the market to renovate. Suzanne Frisbie of the Corcoran Group has the listing. [Palm Beach Post]
