Media and entertainment honcho Brian Robbins moved closer to striking a deal on his Beverly Hills contemporary pad in what marked last week’s top Los Angeles County home under contract.
That’s according to the Douglas Elliman Eklund Gomes team’s weekly report, tracking homes that went into contract. The team counts properties in the Multiple Listing Service priced at $4 million or more and lists them by asking dollar volume in its report.
Robbins, who has been president and CEO of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon since 2021, placed the home at 1335 Carla Lane on the market in late January with a $20.8 million asking price.
The executive bought the Trousdale Estates property in 2020 for $16.8 million through an entity called Stella Properties LLC, state records show. He nabbed a deal on the home, which was originally listed for nearly $24 million, about a year before he bought it.
The Beverly Hills Estates’ Rayni Williams and Branden Williams hold the listing and did not respond to a request for comment.
The home is 11,000 square feet with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Features include a two-story courtyard, glass walls, oak ceilings, infinity pool and Japanese garden.
South of Beverly Hills, a beachfront property on The Strand in Manhattan Beach came in second on the Eklund Gomes report.
The home at 304 The Strand in Manhattan Beach is listed at just under $14 million, with Strand Hill Properties’ Kevin Pratt and Amy Olivares marketing the property.
The seller is a limited liability company tied to a New York address, property and state records show.
There’s a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath home on the 3,326-square-foot lot. Above the property’s garage is a one-bed, one-bath unit.
Overall, Los Angeles County saw 23 signed contracts last week, adding up to asking dollar volume of $161.8 million, according to the Eklund Gomes report. The majority of those contracts, 22, were single-family homes as condo activity normalized from the burst of signings within the segment seen for the week ended March 9.
