A Beverly Hills manse that once hosted a fundraiser for Al Gore’s presidential campaign has traded for $17 million, The Real Deal has learned.
The seller of 702 North Sierra Drive was David Salzman, a TV executive whose resume includes president of Lorimar-Telepictures, the production firm behind “Dallas” and “Full House.” He was also part of the company Quincy Jones-David Salzman Entertainment, which produced shows such as “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
A trio of power agents marketed the seven-bed, 11-bath property for Salzman: Coldwell Banker Realty’s Jade Mills, Carolwood Estates’ Drew Fenton and Compass’ Ari Afshar.
Salzman first put up the for-sale sign in 2023, with an asking price of just under $23 million.
It’s unclear who snagged the three-level home. The buyer’s agent, West Shores Realty’s Sharon Chang, declined to provide details.
Salzman is a long-time owner of the 9,900-square-foot property. In 1993, he bought it for an undisclosed sum in an off-market deal, property records show. During his occupancy, the former homeowner did some remodeling work, including the kitchen.
The decision to sell was driven by Salzman and his wife’s desire to downsize, Mills previously told TRD at the time the home went on the market.
The Gore campaign event was held on the property in 1999, and Salzman’s business partner Quincy Jones was a frequent guest, Mills said.
The deal marks 2025’s first on-market trade in The Flats, according to Zillow records. The neighborhood sitting north of Santa Monica Boulevard gets its name from its large, flat lots.
More recent trades there include last month’s $35 million sale of 619 North Arden Drive, the priciest on-market deal for the neighborhood. Fenton held the listing on the seven-bed, 12-bath home, while the buyer was represented by Branden Williams and Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates.
In November, Plus Real Estate’s Alexa Kort represented the seller in the $17.5 million sale of 722 North Rexford Drive. The 8,900-square-foot, Spanish-style residence was bought with the buyer represented by Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California’s Weston Littlefield and Alex Howe.
