On the heels of a long-term contract extension, Clippers coach Doc Rivers has decided to put his compound in the Bird Streets on the market.

He’s hoping to score a profit on the Hamptons-style home at $11.9 million, Realtor.com reported. Rivers purchased the property in 2014 for $8.2 million.

The 4,000-square-foot home is on a cul-de-sac on Robin Street above the Sunset Strip. With three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, the listing also features a guesthouse and pool on the grounds.

Rivers previously lived in a high-rise condo in Beverly West Residences, which he bought for $5.5 million after he was named head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers in 2013.

The Bird Streets enclave hit max altitude years ago, when spec properties listed at $15 million or more were seemingly selling themselves. But the market has corrected itself in the past year, with listing agents struggling to make sales, and owners slashing prices.

The Clippers exceeded expectations this season by making the playoffs. But behind the scenes, the organization is embroiled in a dispute with Madison Square Garden Company and the city of Inglewood over a potential new stadium for the team. A community group’s lawsuit, which opposes the planned arena development on a 15-acre city-owned lot, is advancing. [Realtor.com]Gregory Cornfield
