A new spec home that resembles an airplane propeller is ready to take flight in Los Angeles.

Thai developer Duangpatra Bodiratnangkura is shopping the modern-style mansion on Orum Road in Bel Air for $56 million, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Spanning 18,850 square feet, the property was built in three wings, and features nine bedrooms and 15 bathrooms. Some of the more extravagant amenities include a wine cellar that fits 1,000 bottles, a home theater, gym, automated light system, and LED-lit pool and spa. There’s also an outdoor kitchen and fire pits.

An entity controlled by the seller, who goes by “Dang,” bought the site for about $6 million in 2014. She then spent four years building the home.

The airplane-shaped residence is the largest project ever built by Dang, she told the WSJ. In the past, she has developed smaller homes and worked as a landlord for a handful of rental properties.

Dang’s mansion is one of many spec homes to have hit the market for sale this year, as developers wrap up the mega-projects they started at the peak of the spec home craze. Last month, developers Ty Cueva of Westside Property Group and Dean Hallo of Hallo Construction relisted their 40,000-square-foot spec home for $100 million, a third more than the developers asked for last year. A Hollywood executive is also shopping a 18,500-square-foot mansion, dubbed the Foothill Estate, for $125 million. [WSJ] – Natalie Hoberman
