Soap opera execs list a celeb-favorite compound in Bel Air for $38M

The property owned by Bill and Maria Bell was belonged to Elvis Presley and Howard Hughes

The longtime family home of Bill Bell Jr., soap opera production company executive, and his wife, writer-producer Maria Arena Bell, is now on the market for $37.5 million.

Designed by architect Wallace Neff in the 1930s, the property has traded hands among a few celebrities, including Howard Hughes, Elvis Presley and Prince Ranier of Monaco, Beverly Hills city co-founder Dolly Green and British actor Reginald Owen, Variety reported.

It spans 13,360 square feet, and includes five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Amenities include a curving grand staircase, swimming pool, gym, spa, terraced gardens and library.

The Bells purchased the property in 1991 for roughly $4.78 million, property records show.
