There’s been another change of heart for Icon Company’s massive mixed-use project in Panorama City.

The Beverly Hills-based developer is now seeking approval for a 675-unit complex, a major increase from the previous round, when it asked for 422 units, according a notice filed with the Department of City Planning.

The new proposal would also further reduce the amount of commercial space to 60,000 square feet.

In August 2016, the firm initially planned to build 350 apartments and 250,000 square feet of commercial use. The firm later bumped up the multifamily portion to 422 residential units, dropping commercial space to only 200,000 square feet a year later.

Dubbed “The Icon at Panorama City,” the $150 million mixed-use project would span 675,000 square feet spread among four buildings. The project, located at 14651-14697 W. Roscoe Boulevard, would include a six-level parking structure, retail stores and a 17,500-square-foot outdoor plaza.

A long vacant department store, as well as two other commercial buildings, are now on the site.

The architecture firm Hochhauser Blatter is designing the 9-acre project, which was originally slated for completion in 2020.

Icon, led by Billy Ruvelson, could not be immediately reached.
