Wayne Gretzky skates to where the market is going — not where it has been.

“The Great One” sold off a second home at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks for $3.4 million after purchasing it just under a year ago, according to Mansion Global. The hockey icon paid $3.3 million in January for the 5,000-square foot home and immediately relisted it without any renovations.

The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home could reportedly use an aesthetic upgrade, as it currently features “dated carpet runners, overlong drapes, and walls painted in muted neutrals.”

The home overlooks the Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course at Sherwood Country Club, which the links legend redesigned for playability and sustainability in 2016.

Gretzky still owns a third property at Sherwood and has been active in the Thousand Oaks real estate scene since he retired from playing in 1999. He sold two others at Sherwood around the same time he bought in January — one for $6 million and another for $1.725 million that he bought in 2000. [Mansion Global] — Dennis Lynch
