Katy Perry may have been the “champion” in her property battle against a group of Catholic nuns, but you’re gonna hear her “roar” over the legal fees.

The “Roar” singer’s business manager Bernard Gudvi said Perry spent over $2.6 million on legal fees while fighting for the former nunnery in Los Feliz, Curbed reported.

Perry spent roughly two years fighting a group of aging nuns and a competing wannabe buyer, restaurateur Dana Hollister, for the former Waverly Place convent at 3431 Waverly Drive. With the support of the Archdiocese of L.A., the Los Angeles Supreme Court and a hefty $14.5 million, Perry finally acquired the property in October 2016.

“It’s been ridiculously expensive,” Gudvi testified to a Los Angeles Superior Court jury on Tuesday. Gudvi was called to the podium as part of the ongoing lawsuit brought forward by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, who filed a suit against Hollister after she recorded the grant deed of the property without their approval.

Now, the “I Kissed A Girl” singer is seeking “complete reimbursement” for the expenses from Hollister through an LLC she controls. [Curbed]Natalie Hoberman
