Torag Pourshamtobi, CEO of apparel label maker Labeltex Mills Inc., fashioned a new Beverly Hills mansion and put it on the market last week with an asking price of $32 million, or $1,951 per square foot.
The newly constructed estate was the priciest home listing in L.A. last week. It seems that new is becoming the norm on the high end — three out of five of the priciest estates listed last week were spec homes.
Pourshamtobi’s 16,400-square-foot estate has seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. The property has an atrium with marble arches and a retractable glass ceiling. It also has a theater, auto gallery, gym and staff quarters. Vanishing pocket doors lead to outdoor areas that include a pool, spa and cabana, according to listing details.
Pourshamtobi purchased the property in 2012 for $6.8 million, according to property records.
Mauricio Umansky and Rouja Koleva of the Agency has the listing.
